Our New Home – Apricus

The exciting news is that we have secured land in Ecclesfield, near Sheffield to provide six ground floor self-contained apartments, each having a sitting room, dining area, kitchen, wet room, bedroom, utility room and medication room.

with Ecclesfield only being 6 miles away from the centre of Sheffield and nature reserves like the Greno Woods Nature Reserve the people we support wont be short of anything to do

Apricus will also have a purpose built training room on site to save the need for staff to go elsewhere for training

Our new home will be called Apricus.

Apricus will offer a high-quality and intensive residential setting for adult individuals and will specialise in providing support and care for people who are categorised under the Transforming Care Agenda/adults with complex needs cohort of people.

We will be working with people with Autism, learning disabilities, mental health issues and additional and complex needs. This includes people who have a forensic background.

Apricus will act as both a step-down service for people currently in secure/locked settings or a step-up service for people who are currently in a community placement/setting but are in some form of crisis; to negate the need for admission to a hospital setting.

Work has begun to be undertaken at Apricus we have knocked the old building down and we will commence building on the 4th of August please check back then for more updates
